I was directly inspired by the exact same words from Kevin Rose during their recent reunion podcast video reunion released on YouTube.

Only I have no way to obtain a digg.com premium domain like Kevin could.

I only have software that resembles the plone software features that I can only imagine might have been used for a python based implementation of the core digg web application API required back in the day (2005).

I only have the heart to try to reimplement the code required to deliver the same or similar end user features as expected or experienced using the site directly for extended periods of time as I had as a huge fan of every thing that Kevin Rose had accomplished in such a short period of time.

I only have the drive to keep working to deliver the best possible features to our end users in terms of reliability, usability, experience, quality and cutting edge design.

Digg is now something that others can enjoy again with our implementation now available at https://digg.one .one and https://clone.digg.one

Try it today and upvote a few stories. Interesting? Try submitting a few stories and track them on digg.one/users/members/(your-username)/submitted pages.

We are trying to explain ourselves and of course we obviously give massive amounts of credit directly back to Kevin Rose, Alex Albrecht, Digg v1, Diggnation and free internet points.

We wouldn’t be here today without standing on the shoulders of the giants of the world. We are free software at our core. Open source is in our hearts. And giving you the encouragement to stand up and thank someone who might not care yet your still want to support even indirectly and independently.

Others are here for the free open libre software to power their own digg.one internet web service application.
